Set at the top of the Sofitel Silom on Silim road in Bangkok, V9 offers a chic, minimalist interior, while offering a fantastic view of the Bangkok skyline. V9 offers a wine shop which makes wine drinking very good value here, earning it the name “wine bar”. However, for those with actual hunger, there is also food available. This is presented through a tasting tree concept offering diners six small dishes has been expanded and now includes V9, French, Thai, Chef and Dessert trees. A small tree should be enough for 1-2 persons while a large tree can satisfy 3-4. The food does not come for free, though, so expect to pay around 3.000 baht for two people.

Alternatives to the chic wine bar atmosphere of V9 includes Vertigo at the Banyan Tree Hotel in Sathorn and Long Table in Sukumvit soi 16, both of which sport cozy chic surroundings and great views. Aldo's Mediterranean bistro and Wine bar on Sathorn also offers good wine and view. Alternatively, Bacchus offers an excellent wine bar alternative in soi Ruan Rumdee.
