| Set in a Colonial-style house, this Thai restaurant is set in very traditional Thai décor. The ambience is cozy yet exclusive and well suited for any dinner occasion. Inside the house, the restaurant occupies the first two floors, while the third floor hosts the well known upscale cooking school of Blue Elephant Restaurant.
The cuisine served at Blue Elephant is innovative yet distinctly Thai and a direct result of chef Chang’s skill and creativity. Whether the starters, mains or deserts, dishes are delicious and mouth watering with great treats like the crispy roti dipped in seasoned coconut milk with chunky beef tenderloin pieces extremely tasty. Blue Elephant offers a number of wine options from all over the world, including Thailand. Expect dinner for two to cost around 2.500 baht without the wine. Blue Elephant is open for lunch from 1:30am-2:30pm and for dinner at 6:30pm-10:30pm. Alternatives to Blue Elephant include the nearby Celadon on Sathorn at the Sukhothai hotel and Salathip at the Shangri-la Hotel on the Chao Phraya River. For a less formal meal across town, try out Lemongrass on Sukumvit soi 24. | |
