What does LIB recommends selected venues and all venues mean?

In order to make Bangkok easier accessible, all venues have been graded according to how appealing we find them. All venues show all venues, independent of raking. Selected venues shows only the venues that are found relevant or of some interest. This is the most common search level and provides a good overview of the available choices within a given area and venue choice. The top level, LIB recommends, are the special venues that we recommend you visit. For the best of Bangkok, these should be considered.

What are the different zones covered by Lost in Bangkok?

In order to make Bangkok as easily accessible as possible, we allow you to search in a number of specific zones of Bangkok, or in the complete City of Bangkok area. The specific zones are the main entertainment areas of Bangkok and are described in full under the zones tab. Click here for the zone descriptions.

How does the Venue Type choosing and features function?

When picking venue type, you can choose as many as you want, and they will then all be included in the search. After the types of venues have been picked, you specify required features the venues need to have. You do not have to specify features if you are just looking for e.g. nightclubs in a specific area in general but if you are looking specifically for pool bars, then clicking the pool box helps you filter your search so only the pool bars show up. Do note that only bars that have all the requested features will be shown, so if you are looking for a nightclub with snooker, live jazz, TV sports, wireless and karaoke, chances are there will not be given any options as such a place does not exist.

If you picked food as a feature, you are given another set of options with regards to which kind of food you would like to find. You can choose several kinds if you want a place that serves e.g. both Thai and Italian food, but do note that most restaurants are very focused on a single cuisine.

How do I get more information about the venue I like?

Pressing the name of the venue in the left column will identify the venue on the map and give access to a bubble with more info. This will also happen when the icons themselves are pressed on the map. Pressing the More Info button identified the venue on the map and also leads to a page with more in-depth information about the venue.
